Terms of Service — RUTIN

Effective Date: 11 May 2026

Welcome to RUTIN.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RUTIN platform, including its website, applications, communities, governance features, identity systems, messaging features, and related services.

By using RUTIN, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Section 1

1. ABOUT RUTIN

RUTIN is a community-structured social platform that enables users to:

  • create multiple identities
  • join communities
  • share content
  • participate in governance voting
  • elect community leaders
  • propose community rules
  • communicate with members

Some platform features operate democratically through member voting.

Section 2

2. ELIGIBILITY

To use RUTIN:

You must:

  • be at least 16 years old
  • provide accurate registration information
  • comply with Indian law
  • follow community rules

Accounts created using false identity information may be removed.

Section 3

3. USER ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES

Users must:

  • protect their login credentials
  • not share OTP access
  • not impersonate others
  • not create abusive identities

Users are responsible for activity performed using their account.

Section 4

4. MULTI-IDENTITY SYSTEM

RUTIN supports:

  • Public Identity (pblc)
  • Private Identity (pvt)
  • Professional Identity (prof)

Each identity may have:

  • different visibility
  • different permissions
  • different community roles

Misuse of identities may result in restriction or suspension.

Section 5

5. COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP

Communities are the foundation of RUTIN.

Members may:

  • join communities
  • participate in discussions
  • vote on governance matters
  • elect leaders
  • propose rules

Community access may be restricted depending on:

  • privacy settings
  • membership approval
  • moderation decisions
Section 6

6. COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SYSTEM

Some communities may elect leaders through member voting.

Leaders may:

  • moderate content
  • issue warnings
  • enforce community rules
  • initiate governance actions
  • represent community decisions

Leaders do NOT own communities permanently.

Leadership may change through democratic mechanisms.

Section 7

7. IMPEACHMENT SYSTEM

Community members may initiate leadership review through impeachment petitions.

If voting thresholds are met:

  • leader authority may be removed
  • new leader selection may begin

This process protects community fairness.

Section 8

8. RULE PROPOSAL SYSTEM

Community members may propose rules.

Rules may:

  • be approved through voting
  • be amended
  • be rejected
  • be withdrawn

Approved rules become binding within that community.

Section 9

9. USER CONTENT

Users retain ownership of content they create.

By posting content, you grant RUTIN permission to:

  • store content
  • display content
  • process content
  • deliver content to communities
  • moderate content when necessary

Content visibility depends on:

  • community settings
  • identity visibility
  • platform moderation decisions
Section 10

10. PROHIBITED CONTENT

Users must NOT post:

  • illegal content
  • violent threats
  • sexual exploitation material
  • child abuse content
  • fraud content
  • hate speech promoting violence
  • terrorist propaganda
  • impersonation content

Violations may result in:

  • content removal
  • identity restriction
  • account suspension
  • community removal
  • legal reporting

11. COMMUNITY RULE ENFORCEMENT

Each community may define additional rules.

Users agree to follow:

  • platform rules
  • community rules
  • moderator decisions
  • governance outcomes

Failure to follow rules may result in enforcement action.

Section 12

12. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION

RUTIN may suspend accounts for:

  • policy violations
  • security threats
  • spam activity
  • illegal behavior
  • community abuse

Suspended accounts may lose access temporarily or permanently.

Section 13

13. IDENTITY RESTRICTIONS

Specific identities may be restricted if misuse occurs.

Restrictions may include:

  • posting limits
  • commenting limits
  • visibility limits
  • temporary suspension

Other identities may remain active.

Section 14

14. COMMUNITY FREEZE ACTIONS

In rare situations, RUTIN administrators may freeze communities.

This prevents:

  • posting
  • voting
  • membership changes
  • governance activity

Used only when required for safety or compliance.

Section 15

15. PLATFORM GOVERNANCE SAFETY OVERRIDE

RUTIN administrators may override governance outcomes if required to:

  • comply with law
  • protect user safety
  • prevent platform abuse
  • respond to legal orders

This ensures platform stability.

Section 16

16. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

RUTIN may:

  • update features
  • modify functionality
  • temporarily disable services
  • perform maintenance

without prior notice when necessary.

Section 17

17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

RUTIN platform technology belongs to:

RUTIN

Users may NOT:

  • copy platform systems
  • reverse engineer services
  • republish platform logic
  • automate scraping without permission
Section 18

18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

RUTIN may use:

  • cloud infrastructure providers
  • security providers
  • analytics providers
  • delivery providers

These providers follow applicable security standards.

Section 19

19. TERMINATION OF ACCESS

RUTIN may terminate accounts for:

  • serious violations
  • repeat violations
  • legal requirements
  • platform abuse
  • security risks

Termination decisions may be final in severe cases.

Section 20

20. USER TERMINATION RIGHTS

Users may delete their accounts anytime.

Some records may remain stored for:

  • legal compliance
  • security auditing
  • governance transparency
Section 21

21. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

RUTIN provides services “as available”.

RUTIN is not responsible for:

  • user-generated content accuracy
  • community leader decisions
  • community disputes
  • external links shared by users
Section 22

22. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by Indian law:

RUTIN shall not be liable for:

  • indirect damages
  • data loss from user actions
  • community-level disputes
  • external service interruptions

23. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by:

laws of India
